What better day to start our blog than the first day of 2014
2013 was an amazing year. I married my best friend and soulmate on January 26th (best day of my life). We then honeymooned in Hawaii. After coming back from our honeymoon we settled into our home as husband and wife. We watched our relationship grow in our first home. We took a trip to DC in May, Vegas in July, and shortly after our Key West trip in August we thought about the serious adult decisions that follow the wedding bells. We decided to make a career and life changing decision together.
Soooo…. following our traditional courtship, engagement, wedding…and life, we've opted for an untraditional 2014.
Who?!?
My name is Christine and my husband is Jonathan. We are "twenty-something year old" lovebirds who took a leap of faith and decided to to make our dreams a reality. We decided to free ourselves from society's constraints and travel the road less traveled. Please refer to picture below. (I'm the one with the chocolate undertone)
What?!?!
After celebrating our one year wedding anniversary, we will embark on a six month trip to Oceaniasia. Yup, thats a place.
Where?
Oh, I suppose you would like a better description of Oceaniasia (Oceania + Asia = Oceaniasia) This nonfictional place includes, but is not limited to New Zealand, Australia, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Malaysia, China, Hong Kong, Japan
When?
January 27th till sometime in July. Lets be honest. The end is not nearly as important as how it all starts.
Why?
Why not????
The world is our oyster. This is a trip we don't want to wish we took when we were younger.
I am so excited to embark on this journey. I cannot think of anyone else who I would rather take this journey with. In my dreams I've pushed myself past the limits I've set for myself. I can't wait to see where this trip takes us.
